Starting from ancient times, the Kyrgyz have always been livestock breeders, raising sheep, horses, yaks, and camels. Their lives were intertwined with migrations in search of pastures: with the onset of warmth, they ascended to the mountains, and with the arrival of winter, they descended to the valleys. The transition to new pastures became a real celebration. They decorated caravans, covered camels and horses with beautiful rugs, and the most beautiful girl in jewelry rode ahead. When meeting caravans, the inhabitants of settlements hospitably welcomed the nomads, treated them, and wished them a safe journey. Before the transition in autumn, magical rituals were performed. Nomads carefully watched over their livestock, grazing them during the day and guarding them at night. They also actively hunted wolves, deer, and mountain goats, using special dogs and hunting birds. These centuries-old traditions are still alive, and today you can encounter yurts and vast herds of livestock amidst the picturesque nature on the pastures. "Kyrgyz Kochu" invites everyone to immerse themselves in the world of ancient traditions and delve into the culture of the Kyrgyz people.
